Argentina at the time allowed its own provinces to issue their own banknotes, all denominated in the national currency. 26035 Australia Commonwealth of Australia 10 Shillings - Half Sovereign ND 1918 Pick 3b.

While many survivors are barely Very Fine in grade, solid examples with bold paper, colors, and eye appeal attract a lot of attention. Early Commonwealth mate- rial is difficult to locate in nearly any condition. Any advanced collector looking to procure this early issue should consider this beautiful note. Some folds and crinkling are responsible for the grade, and it is likely this piece saw very little actual circulation. Each of the design elements is bold and colorful, set against bright and attractive paper. The HALF SOVEREIGN overprints are still cherry red. The back design is bathed in color with the central vignette of Goulburn Weir as bold as one will find on a circulated grade.
